BENEFITS: AQL 30000 KT is specially formulated to inhibit the formation of hard water scale and control corrosion of ferrous and nonferrous metals in open recirculating cooling tower systems.  The ingredients in AQL 30000 KT are resistant to chlorine and bromine type biocides.  It will treat water having high hardness or high alkalinity. Contains molybdenum tracer for ease in testing.

DESCRIPTION: Featuring a unique multi-polymer formulation that prevents scale formation, AQL 30000 KT also contains dispersants and corrosion inhibitors.
 
APPLICATIONS: AQL 30000 KT has application in large and medium sized refrigeration type recirculating cooling systems with extreme hardness and alkalinity
Contents (stressed water).  This product has application in high-temperature industrial process cooling systems.

INITIAL DOSAGE: Add sufficient AQL 30000 KT to maintain 2-5ppm of molybdenum as measured by Low-Range Molybdenum Test Kit.

MAINTENANCE DOSAGE: Add sufficient AQL 30000 KT to maintain 2-5ppm of molybdenum using a Low-Range Molybdenum Test Kit.  Consult your AQUALINE water treatment consultant for further instructions.

METHOD OF FEED: AQL 30000 KT can be fed directly into the cooling tower sump or directly into the recirculating water line using a midstream injection tip.  This product should not be mixed with biocides in a chemical feed solution.

SYSTEM OPERATING PARAMETERS: Follow the parameters outlined for internal boiler water treatment.
REFRIGERATION COOLING TOWER SYSTEM

• Non-chromate formula contains no heavy metals

• AQL CL 333 is a corrosion inhibitor for use in chilled-water closed loops, hot-water recirculating boilers, and above-ground thermal storage systems. This product provides effective corrosion protection for metals typically found in closed-loop systems.  In addition, AQL CL 333 contains a borate buffer to maintain pH of the recirculating water in the range of 8.5 to 10.5.

• The initial dosage of AQL CL 333 is 1 liter for each 1000 liters of water in the system (1100ppm).  This will provide a sodium nitrite residual of 275 ppm as NaNO2.
• The maintenance dosage is 1 gallon of AQL CL 333 for each 1000 gallons of makeup water added to the system.  The sodium nitrite level should be maintained in the range of 250ppm to 400ppm.  The pH of the recirculating water should be in the range of 8.5 to 10.5. Do not allow the pH to drop below 8.0

• Feed AQL CL 333 to the closed-loop system using a by-pass pot feeder. For above-ground thermal storage systems, add the product at the time the system is initially charged with water.

• Recirculating water pH: 8.5 to 10
• Maximum water temperature: 350*F

• Nitrite as NaNO2: 225 to 400 ppm
• Recirculating water conductivity: 3500 Micro ohm or less
• Recirculating water pH: 8.5 to 10.5

When foaming occurs, add AQL DF 303 to the water until the foam is killed.  If foam
Reappears, reapply AQL DF 303.

Add 1 gallon of AQL DF 303 per 1,500 to 3,000 gallons of total water capacity.

AQL DF 303 can also be used when descaling cooling towers or boilers and for controlling foam in aerated tanks at sewage treatment plants.
